Jim Song, Founder and CEO
Jim Song founded Aphora Health in July 2022 to improve health equity and lower the costs of Pharmacy Drugs for Specialty and everyday drugs by bringing solutions through a frictionless member experience platform and a cost containment and management (SaaS-based) Software platform for businesses for pharmacy spend.
His mission is to help the millions of Americans throughout the employer market. He most recently served as a technology Vice President at Blue Cross Blue Shield North Carolina, working five years in the health insurance industry. Prior to joining Blue Cross North Carolina, James worked as a vice president of the healthcare provider side of the business at NYU Langone Medical Center for seven years.
He holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
His mission is to help the millions of Americans throughout the employer market. Andy Chan, Co-Founder and CPO
Andy serves as a co-founder and the Chief Product Officer for Aphora Health. In his role, he leads product development efforts for Aphora, building cutting edge cost containment solutions for the employer market.
Prior to Aphora, Andy was the co-founder and CEO of ScriptScouts (acquired by Aphora in Oct 2024), a patent pending search engine that helps patients and employers find the best price on their prescription medications. Andy has a background in financial technology, leading product management efforts at Avalara (IPO 2018), Infinia ML, and Thomson Reuters.
Outside of work, Andy is a nationally ranked tennis player and enjoys both teaching and coaching.

Sean Cannon, Co-Founder and CTO
Sean Cannon is the Chief Technology Officer at Aphora Health, where he drives innovation and oversees the development of solutions aimed at improving health equity and reducing pharmacy costs for specialty and everyday medications. With a focus on creating seamless member experiences and SaaS-based platforms, Sean’s efforts are instrumental in advancing Aphora Health’s mission to transform the pharmacy landscape.
Before joining Aphora Health, Sean amassed over two decades of experience in technology and software development, including leadership roles in both the public and private sectors. He has a proven track record of delivering scalable and secure solutions across industries such as healthcare, technology, and e-commerce. An author and a seasoned technologist, Sean holds expertise in engineering teams and building robust systems that align with business objectives.

Ken Wells, MD, MPH, MBA |
Chief Medical Officer
Ken was the former Chief Medical Officer for the Marsh McLennan Agency Southwest. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, where he chaired the Governance Committee and was a member of the Audit and Quality Committees. He is currently on the board of the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and a member of the Academic Affairs Committee. Throughout the past two decades, he has served on nine other not-for-profit boards and six different advisory boards, gaining experience on many committees, including executive, governance, nominations, HR, and quality.
He founded Alken Health Resources as an administrative resource to provide medical direction and health consulting services to Fortune-size companies. He has developed and managed dozens of national and international health management programs for clients, delivering substantial savings and efficiencies. He has advised a global conglomerate, major energy and insurance companies, top U.S. municipalities, hospitals, NASA, and the nation’s largest railroad in their efforts to develop innovative health solutions to improve quality and control costs.
Ken earned a master’s in management from Northwestern University. He holds a medical doctorate and master’s in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston. He has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Texas Southern University. He completed a fellowship in primary care policy with the U.S. Department of H&HS. He completed residencies in occupational and family medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center and aviation medicine instruction at the U.S. Army School of Aerospace Medicine. He is licensed to practice medicine in Texas and holds a Texas insurance license. He attained certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the HR Certification Institute (SHRM).

Reggie Faulkner, PharmD, MBA | Chief Pharmacy Officer
Reggie Faulkner, PharmD, MBA, is a seasoned healthcare executive specialized in the pharmacy space. His career has been centered in the inpatient and outpatient hospital pharmacy setting focused on advancing pharmacy services with oversight of clinical initiatives, drug security, cost reduction, staffing management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. He has worked tirelessly to enhance appropriate medication usage and promote medication safety, drug cost control, and pharmacy revenue growth.
Reggie began his career as a hospital clinical pharmacist for Owen Healthcare, which is based in Houston, TX. To this day, he continues to find time to work part-time as a clinical hospital pharmacist to maintain his technical knowledge base and skill set.
He has served as a clinical pharmacist, a hospital pharmacy director, a regional compliance/regulatory director, and most recently, as a Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Operations over multiple healthcare systems across the U.S. He has managed pharmacies in hospitals and health systems totaling over 100 facilities in 20 states which include academic teaching institutions, various-sized community/metro hospitals, critical access hospitals, oncology centers, pediatric hospitals, outpatient infusion centers, and retail and specialty pharmacies. He has also served on the county board of health, been a pharmacy school preceptor and pharmacy school guest lecturer and was recognized by one of his former employers as the National Director of the Year.
He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC, and completed his MBA, focusing on Healthcare Management, through Western Governors University.
Reggie lives in Mooresville, NC, near Charlotte. He enjoys boating, hiking, golf, traveling, and pulling for his favorite sports teams with his wife and two sons.

Caroline Michiels, FACHE |
Chief of Staff
Caroline has over 25 years of leadership experience that has been enriched by roles in different industries and business functions, organizations that range from start-up to global, and assignments in the US and abroad.
Caroline was previously the Founder of A440, a consultancy that provided advisory, insights, and solutions for healthcare projects. Prior to A440, Caroline served as Vice President of Integration for National Cardiovascular Partners (NCP). In this role, Caroline worked cross-functionally to drive changes that supported NCP’s Ambulatory Surgery Center strategy and partnerships. Prior to NCP, Caroline held leadership roles at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (now City of Hope), where she led efforts to transform traditional healthcare information technology delivery within a clinical environment. Prior to CTCA, she served in leadership roles at ThoughtWorks, DHL Express, PrimeSource Technologies, and Ernst & Young.
Caroline earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, from Old Dominion University, and an MBA from Thunderbird, School of Global Management. She holds certifications as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Project Management Professional (PMP), and is a Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME). She is on the Board of Valleywise Health Foundation, the nonprofit supporting Valleywise Health, Arizona’s public teaching hospital and community health system.

Liz Choe | CMO
Liz serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) overseeing Marketing, Sales, and Operations at Aphora. She brings over 13 years of experience building operations teams and supporting Product & Development, Marketing, and Sales team operations to support business initiatives at multiple IT and software companies.
Before joining Aphora Health, Liz played a key role and established the team in the rise of Product Operations at Pendo that fused Product, Sales, and Marketing in a way that helped elevate the way teams met business objectives and use data to shape their business direction. With this experience, she leads marketing, sales, and operations efforts at Aphora.

Jennifer Dunivent, NP | SVP Client Services
Jen Dunivent is a seasoned operations leader with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and healthcare technology space. Her career has included roles ranging from hands-on patient care as a Nurse Practitioner to Nursing and Operations Leadership and Healthcare IT Consulting. Most recently as Vice President of Operations for a leading Data Management and Data Analytics company, Jen has led both clinical and technical teams through operational transformations throughout her career.
As a transformational leader, she is a visionary and mentor, creating cultures of innovation and positive change. Past successes include efforts focused on clinical quality improvements, organizational restructuring, healthcare reform, process improvement, technology implementations, and building cross-functional teams from the ground up.
Jen holds master’s degrees in Business Administration from the U of R Simon School of Business and Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) from the U of R School of Nursing. With her training in both clinical and business, her background as a Nurse Practitioner and Operations Executive brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and business acumen. Driving change through servant leadership is her passion, ensuring that, at the end of the day, the work we do has a positive impact on people's lives.
Jen is also involved in her community as an avid volunteer, holding several leadership roles and driving programs focused on providing opportunities and resources to the underserved.
